The School of Architecture, Urban Planning & Design (FAUD by its Spanish Acronym) owns modern installations like drawing rooms, mockup workshops, thesis presentation room, and a computer center, as well as an excellent teaching staff. All these features are the foundation of the School’s prestige and home to future architects and designers-either graphic, or interior, or costume, or textile one. The degree course of Architecture and Urban Planning has the important mission to educate those people who are generating livable places, among other tasks, with the goal of improving life quality. The undergraduate is provided with an extensive training through the attending of practical and theoretical courses of the career, guaranteeing the capacity to perform the professional development. The BA in design, which includes interior, graphic, costume and textile design, aims at the training of professional for them to design and manage the equipment of architectural environments, visual communication and costumes. The professional practice, the attending of optional courses, and a research and thesis work are also included among the degree course purposes. The School of Architecture, Urban Planning and Design has been assessed and validated by the Royal Institute of British Architects- RIBA -, in May 2003, and revalidated at the end of the year 2005. Likewise, it usually takes part in students contest, being awarded in many occassions. This School’s activity includes several postgraduates’ courses and doctorates. The degree course program of Design of this School are rendered at the head building in Mendoza city and at the university campus of San Rafael.
