Universidad de Mendoza is a private educational institution and a non-profit civil organization in accordance with its Bylaws.

The University High Council is integrated by the President; Deans representing each School; advisors representing each Academic Council, chosen among its members for a period of two years; advisors representing the Faculty, chosen every two years by the Faculty staff.

The University President, as well as the rest of the authorities are elected during the University Assembly.
