Universidad de Mendoza is evaluated by the CONEAU

(National Commission for University Evaluation and Accreditation, Argentina)

The National Commission for University Evaluation and Accreditation (CONEAU) carries out institutional evaluations of public and private management universities.

CONEAU is a decentralized agency at the Argentina’s Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and was created by the Federal Higher Education Law as an autonomous organization affiliated to the Ministry thereof.

Its mission is to ensure and enhance the quality of university degrees and institutions in the Argentine university system through the evaluation and accreditation of the quality of the university programs and degrees offered.

CONEAU makes a “yes or no” decision within the passing process of both state-regulated undergraduate and graduate programs projects. The degree programs accredited are the ones included within the Section N°43 of the High Education Act and the postgraduate programs in effect.

It issues recommendations about institutional projects of new state universities and about provisional functioning authorizations for private universities as well as their eventual recognition.

Among its functions, CONEAU is also empowered to decide on the accreditation of private agencies for university evaluation and accreditation.
