Attorney-at-law

Department of Education Resolution nº 466/11.
Graduate degree: Abogado (Attorney-at-law.)
Length: 5 years.

The degree course program of attorney-at-law takes five years and makes graduates legally qualified to prosecute and defend action in courts on the retainer of clients. The same practitioners of court of law are authorized to perform any and all legal and administrative procedure, in all the actions or stages and before any jurisdictional judge.

The wide knowledge these attorneys are provided with, allows them to practice in labor, or commercial, or criminal, or civil, or administrative law matters among others. Likewise, due to the particular academic training rendered, the graduate can act as mediator in conflict resolutions.   

In like manner, the law graduate has the chance to join the judicial system, in any career or in any and all judicial positions, as well as to practice in the public administration in any of the possible offices or departments belonging to any State Power, or municipality, or province.

Goals

Our undergraduate and graduate programs are characterized by a seriousness conveyed in the course rendering, including written works by their prestigious professors, after conducting a long and deep survey about the faculty members.  

The courses that are common to the attorney-at-law and notary public programs are simultaneously rendered by the same professors to both program cohorts, thus, students are able to change their professional option in any instance.

Graduate Profile

The attorney-at-law is legally qualified to prosecute, or advise or defend action in court on behalf of clients. Likewise, they have the chance to join the judicial system, being able to practice in any and all the judicial positions, as well as in any public job post belonging to any of the State Powers.
