Esperanza (Hope) Project

Created by the SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE, URBAN PLANNING AND DESIGN, this project aims to share meetings within the University, to bring young people to know the university environment and develop different artistic skills through design.

SCOPE

This project of extensive-academic profile, developed by motivation of the Directorate of Design and with full Dean´s support, has as its goal: the exchange of the SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE, URBAN PLANNING AND DESIGN students and teachers with students of the Esperanza Association, whose mission is to create, encourage and support courses of teaching to students with disabilities.

Having started the relationship last year in "Mendocinas de Rojo", thanks to the intervention of the UM Institutional Relations and Extension Directorate (DiERIUM), this year we will work around "Flora and fauna local", with the support of the Cullunche Foundation, whose mission is to protect the environment of the province of Mendoza, in order to build a Pattern Catalog for application in garments, printed papers and objects among others.

The Project, aims to share meetings within the University, to bring young people the possibility of knowing the university environment, on the one hand, and on the other, help them develop different artistic skills through design to apply them to a product. In this feedback, the students will learn to develop products for a possible work exit and insertion in society, and we as a Faculty, integration through, we learn from them.
